This is a mostly restored vehicle and in great shape for a new owner who is into or wants to get into off-road wheeling. Because it is pre-1973 it does not fall under emissions testing requirements. It is stock except for a Rochester 2-bbl carb with a Man-A-Fre adaptor and a Delco-Remy mechanical-advance distributor. It has a newly overhauled F engine (3.9-liter, inline 6-cyl) and has a 3-speed manual transmission with floor shifter. The engine was completely overhauled, which included boring cylinders to 0.040" over, new pistons, and new oil pump. The differentials have 4.11 gears. While the engine was out for overhaul, the interior sides of the frame and inner frame were cleaned and painted with flat black Eastwood Rust Encapsulator. The engine bay was cleaned and painted with aerosol Rustoleum. Basically, everything was cleaned and painted that needed to be accesed with the engine, transmission, and transfer case removed. Other new parts include dash cap, clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing, seals on transmission/transfer case input/output shafts, brake shoes (including parking brake), and wheel cylinders. There is some rust to fix in the usual places - back lower doors, back of tub, rocker panels, sills, and left floorboard. The pictures with this listing show the actual condition of the vehicle, including rust. The weatherseals on the doors and hatch need to be replaced. I was going to do that after repairing rust and painting. As it turns out, my daughter starts college next fall and I have to postpone my wheeling adventures. I have done a lot towards restoring this vehicle. It is road- and trail-worthy right now. With bodywork and paint, it should be worth around double the asking price, like several other Land Cruisers on eBay and Craigslist. Please email or call me at 405-815-7925 for more information.
