Call me anytime, it’s toll-free and on me! 0011 +1 (866) 444-4289 BID WITH CONFIDENCE. about this '65 Mustang you're bidding on a very pretty and clean '65 Mustang pony coupe driver. overall the Mustang is considered to be structurally and mechanically solid with no know major issues or major rust and it can be driven away. the current owner has had the Mustang in Florida for the past 8 years (the previous owner 10) and hasn't put more than 2,000 miles on the car along with a few minor upgrades along the way, and more recently new electrical wiring, new plugs & points, new coil, new condenser, and a new battery and regular maintenance. 1965 '400th Anniversary' tags & plate included to commemorate the City of St. Augustine, Florida so it has some historical significance. the Florida title is clean and on hand, along with the Florida plates and keys. drive it home. I deliver what I promise. here's what else I know: stock 200 straight six engine has been rebuilt at 80,000 miles along with the automatic c4 transmission and both are considered to be running strong with good compression and no major oil or fluid leaks. there are no known major mechanical issues and the Mustang runs and drives well. new plugs, new coils, new condenser, new battery - runs and drives very well and mechanically strong. the Mustang can be driven away. front disc brakes brakes (upgraded from drum), rear drum brakes in good operating condition, lots of grip remaining on the brakes, expect natural wear as brakes are regular maintenance items. the car drives relatively tight for it's age with a stock suspension in good operating condition; the exhaust is also considered stock and it too is considered to be in good operating condition. the brakes, exhaust, and suspension are regular maintenance items as as such, you can expect natural wear. the body is believed to be solid, with straight lines, and rust free, expect natural wear as the metal is 45 yrs old. it's a Florida car and yes, it's relatively rust free; that is, you'll find some minor surface bubbling on the body/paint in a few areas (see photos), however rust has not taken this car not by any means. the frame is considered solid and straight. No major bondo or filling. the underside is considered original and very clean with no major rust or holes, including key areas such as the floor pans, frame rails, running boards, torque boxes, trunk, and the like. rust is not a major issue on this Mustang anywhere. the driver side floor pan (under the carpets) has experienced some minor water leakage and as such, it will need some attention has some rust on the floor pan as a result of this water > easy remedy. the Mustang was painted approximately 10 years ago and aside from minor nicks & scuffs and other minor natural wear (some bubbling in the paint in a few places), the paint buffs to a pretty sheen. the paint is not perfect, however it is not in need of a paint job at the time unless of course that's in your plans anyway. the Mustang looks great, as you can see in the photos. There are seven (7) spots on the car & trunk that have some bubbling or minor rust and very easy to fix. the tires are very good with greater than 50% tread, original caps included. spare tire in the trunk. the chrome trim is clean all around, expect natural wear and the original windshield & glass is good all around with no issues and again, expect natural wear. rear passenger window is up, however the wiring & electrics are considered to be in good operation condition with no known issues. headlights, turn signals, brake lights are all considered in good working order. the pony package interior is clean for the most part, however it's an older restoration and as such, it will have some natural wear in the seats and upholstery, however nothing major. the carpets are aged and as well, the driver side carpeting has some stains as a result of a past water leak and there is some minor rust under the carpet. the dash is clean and the gauges in the instrument panel are all considered to be in good working condition, expect natural wear. passenger back window does not close. overall a mechanically and structurally sound Florida car that is considered sold, straight, rust-free, and gorgeous and ready to drive away.
