Up for auction is my personal 2001 Audi TT 225hp quattro convertible. I bought this as a salvage/rebuild summer last year, and have since put 23,000+ miles on it. So reliability for this car/engine/transmission is not an issue! In fact I would drive it to California tomorrow if I needed to. The car is a real blast to drive, especially when the turbo spools up! The car is a beautiful and receives compliments everywhere I drive it. I will be sad to give this one up, but my wife (a.k.a. Boss) says that I have too many toys and one must go. This car drew the short straw over my Harley and GTO. Work that had done to it last year includes a new timing belt, water pump, headlight washers, and a new turbo. All of this was done by Audi of Lexington and has worked flawlessly. The car has fresh tires and will have a fresh oil change service performed at Audi. The only problem with the car is a routine check engine light. The car runs fine, and Audi told me that it was probably the MAF and or the vacuum line on the turbo was crimped (this controls the blow off valve only). As I said before, the car runs great and one would be hard pressed to find a deficit in the performance. The body is in excellent shape and only has a small car door ding in the left rear fender (very difficult to see). This happened at work, and ticked me off!!! The rims have a little curb rash, but that was not on my watch. Other than that mentioned, the car is a steel at the buy it now price and a rock solid addition to anybody's fleet.
