FOR SALE - 1987 FIAT X 1/9 BERTONE IN REALLY GREAT SHAPE! IT'S BEEN UNDER CARPORT SINCE PURCHASED. HAD IT REPAINTED 2 YEARS AGO AND EVERYTHING ABOUT IT IS ORIGINAL EXCEPT FOR THE RADIO AND ANTENNA, CARPET REPLACED AND SEATS/DOOR PANELS REUPHOLSTERED. THE ORIGINAL COLOR WAS BURGANDY BUT WANTED RED AND HAD THE ENGINE HOOD PAINTED BLACK INSTEAD OF RED AS WELL BECAUSE I PREFERRED THE CONTRAST AS WITH THE OLDER MODELS. IT'S BEEN A WONDERFUL CAR WITH ABSOLUTELY NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS. THE CAR HAS 49,560 ORIGINAL MILES ON IT. IT IS A TARGO TOP AND I HAVE A SPARE TOP THAT HAS NOT BEEN REPAINTED. Accelerates well. Possibly a noisy bearing in the alternator. New belts including the timing belt. New water pump. Absolutely no leaks, water, oil, or otherwise. Car shifts easily. New clutch. Cold A/C. No cracks in windshield. All cables, heater control valve, headlight solenoids, and other common problems are all fuctional . Nice cover included. The car catches eyes and is a keeper.
