Vehicle Detail
This auction is for an original 1972 Chevrolet Nova. I believe I am the third owner of this car which has been sitting idle since 1996. This car was produce in Van Nuys and spent its entire life in California. Rust-free survivor that is ready to be restored to its original glory. Perfect restoration or street rod candidate with no major rust issues requiring body panel replacement. As solid and original as they come. Car still retains the original 350 engine stamped V0118CMD. Block casting #010. Decodes to a 350 2 bbl with a 350 automatic transmission. Engine now sports an Edelbrock 4 bbl intake manifold with match Edelbrock Performer 600 cfm carburetor. The engine fires easily and runs very strong but smokes steadily. Will need to be re-ringed? Rebuilt turbo 350 with shift kit works great. Small pan leak? Flowmaster dual exhaust with no tailpipes. 10 bolt non-posi rearend with multi-leaf springs in good condition. Gear ratio unknown but probably 3:08. Passenger upper shock mount broken needs welding. Drum brakes do not work and need to be bled. Good front tires bad rear tires. Car shown with aftermarket wheels but also includes set of 4 original 14 x 7 inch rally wheels in excellent condition. Includes 2 nice chrome hubcaps and 2 nice plastic chrome hubcaps and 4 nice trim rings. Cowl tag shows this car to be originally midnight bronze (68) with medium tan vinyl bucket seats (A51). Dashpad is cracked and headliner needs to be restitched. Rear package tray has speaker cutouts. Door panels in nice condition only need cleaning and installed. Rear seat is nice also. No carpet with original sound deadener and excellent rust-free floor pans. Nice original bucket seats only need re-covering. Dash is cut for water temp. gauge and radio but a nice used replacement is included. All lights and gauges work. No radio. Body is straight needing minor bodywork. Car sat outside for the past 2 years and has minor bleed-through. Trunk pan may or may not have been replaced (i am not a bodyman) but is solid. The rest of the car appears to be all original rust-free body panels. Rear bumper slightly bent? Driver fender needs replaced but a rust-free replacement is included. Doors are solid with zero rust and all glass is good. Door handles were removed and pop-outs installed and work with minor repair. Original door hardware and handles are included to restore to original if needed. Side marker lights were poorly "filled" with aluminum tape and filled over. Original nice side markers are also included to restore if needed. Trunk lid and hood are straight with only light surface rust on underside of hood and bleed-through. Undercarriage and frame rails are perfect with no rust. Only selling because I have too many projects. This is as solid a foundation as you will find for a Nova project car. A great investment and you will not be disappointed. Other parts are included as well. New battery tray, new rear shocks, washer bottle, extra dash bezel, original rally wheels, new TRW front suspension parts, new Moroso front suspension bushings, original bumper jack hook and base, spare rally wheel, etc. Please ask any questions before bidding. Thank you for looking at my auction and good luck bidding!
