Up for auction is my 1980 Suzuki GS1000GLT. I've owned this motorcycle for seven (7) years which was purchased from a used motorcycle dealer in Wisconsin. It had 24000 original miles when I purchased it, back in 2003. After allot of new parts, T.L.C. and elbow grease, the motorcycle was used mainly as a local commuter to and from work. The only reason for my parting with it, is the fact I've purchased a new Moto Guzzi and can't justify the cost of keeping and maintaining, three motorcycles. This Motorcycle runs and rides excellent and has no Electrical or Mechanical issues. Clutch is strong and has no slippage. Oil & Filter changed every 1000 miles. Air Filter Assembly has 5 Micron Filter Media installed. Aside from a couple of very small dents in the front side of the Fuel Tank, Front Fender and some minor flaws in the pinstriping on the tank and side covers, it is in outstanding running condition for a thirty (30) year old motorcycle. Some of the most recent maintenance and repairs are as follows: New O.E.M. Stator, O.E.M. Rectifier/Regulator, Maintenance Free Battery, Battery Cables in May 2010. O.E.M. Seat professionally recovered, in June 2006, New O.E.M. Replacement Mac Exhaust 4 into 2 System - 2006, Vacuum Petcock Assembly, new Fuel and Vacuum Hoses in 2006. New Tachometer Cable in 2005. Michelin Macadam Tires put on in 2007, around 2500 miles on them. The Successful bidder for this Motorcycle will get new spare parts pictured in this auction and a factory O.E.M. Service Manual.
