UNRESTORED - ORIGINAL PAINT & MECHANICALS - ONLY 31,000 WELL MAINTAINED MILES The original local owner & motorcycle enthusiast all his life, Don Meyer, purchased it new and maintained it religiously all of it's life before his passing. I have owned it since 2006 and have put less than a thousand miles on it. It is 100% roadworthy and reliable. Has always been shedded and serviced properly. It is a real head turner and people who see it can't believe that it is 41 years old. It has never been laid down or has any repaired damage from accidents. Aluminum wheel rims are clean and bright. Always starts on the first kick and never more than 2 or 3 after sitting for months. Idles down so slow you can hear the cylinders firing. The Flanders side stand is a BMW approved accessory and is a great improvement over the original one. Being much sturdier it allows kick starting while on it. The Wixom Ranger fiberglass bags are weathertite and easily removed and reinstalled. I would describe the saddle/seat cover as perfect with no cracks in the white piping. The just installed 14 AH rated gel battery has been a vast improvement and provides much brighter lights and no concerns about acid leakage damage. RECENT SERVICE WORK DONE New gel battery installed 2 wks. ago 14 AH High Capacity, Double that of the original battery. All fluids changed Valves adjusted New front fork boots/gators & fork oil Minor black paint touchup Installed new old stock Manx performance mufflers Carbs cleaned ALSO INCLUDED: Original owners manual w/plastic pouch, Clymer service manual & complete original tool kit.
