1953 356 , Pre A bent window Porsche Cabriolet This is an excellent survivor with 45 K orginal miles, it is a stunning example of a near original car , the car is very original with factory perfect gaps , excellent body and the best part is the underside , pans , battery box etc are original and a perfect as you will ever see absolutely no rust and are solid and not all dinged up , this is one of the only examples left that even has all the original quilting in the engine compartment and under the bonnet and battery box , people will walk by several speedsters to see the most expensive 356 Porsche sold in 1954 , roll up windows and superior top make it much more drivable and comfortable . This is a rare opportunity to own one of 326 1954 Cabriolets (manufactored in 1953) The glass is excellent , not pitted and is great shape as are the rubber seals , the wooden bows are perfect and the orginal headliner is also excellent . the top is great as is the plastic rear window . dash, steering wheel and all gauges are extraordinary . The front seats have been recovered but the balance of the interior is original and shows normal patina for it's age , the paint is good and also shows patina , I suspect it was resprayed in the 60's original 16 inche wheels , new tires , spare is date coded 1955 , The engine (1500CC) and gear box are original to car and run and operate as new , they have been resealed but have not been rebuilt , car runs and cruises exceptionally , it brakes and steers as new , all the original pieces are still there the oil temp gauge and sensor are in tact , emergency brake and underdash handle is operable and perfect , window regulators are smooth as silk , clear sunvisor is very nice , it is a radio delete and delete panel is leather covered , I have some turbo wheel covers but don't like their appearance I am retiring and selling several of my cars I am not a dealer , I am a private seller , member of the 356 registry for 25 years and have several references in the club , don't have to sell but wish to narrow my focus , if you are looking for a rare very original early open 356 I don't believe that there are many like this one , I had it on ebayearlier in the year and it feel just short of my price and then I got jerked around by a trader , I will make another attempt to sell and this time will put in a buy it now price as well Thanks for looking , I am busy so direct your quistions and I will get to them when I can , I travel quite a bit so I can not always respond quickly to additional pics etc if you are serious I recommend that you come to Atlanta to see the car
