Vehicle Detail
1971 Mercedes-Benz 300SEL 3,5 (W109) VIN # 109.056-12-004102 Exterior in original DB124 Arabian Grey (arabergrau), interior in original red leather. 72687 miles. Original BECKER Europa radio with RARE and original BECKER cassette player. A/C blows cold. Famous M116 3,5 engine which starts right up, keeps excellent oil pressure, runs strong but smooth. NO SMOKE AT ALL. This car runs and drives strong. The air-suspension works but it will need servicing. The automatic transmission shifts smooth with no hesitation or any unusual noises. The paint on this car is the original one (never re-painted), it is faded and it needs to be re-done. The rust spots on the upper body (hood, roof, trunk lid) is only a SURFACE corrosion (no holes) and it can be sanded prior to primer. The undercarriage is solid and strong. Frame and floors are RUST-FREE and 100% original. All lights, gauges, power windows, wipers and horn work properly. This is a very valuable and rare car which needs a total restoration. This car could be an excellent engine/transmission donor for a restoration of W111 3,5 CONVERTIBLE. This car is 39 (!) years old, it is used and therefore is being sold on as-is basis. Title is clear and ready to be transferred. In the auction also included: original spare tire/rim, original jack and tools in a tool pouch, original paperwork and service records, original manuals and books. $500,- deposit via PayPal is due immediately after the end of the auction, the balance is due 5 days after the end of the auction. SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY! I can help by shipping this car to anywhere in the world directly from our port here in Jacksonville, Florida. Thank you for looking and happy bidding! P.S.
