Up for auction here is my 1964 Thunderbird Coupe. I found this baby in a storage facility while hunting antiques in southern Missouri about a year ago. I was told it had been in that storage locker about 10 years. I put a battery on it and it started right up. I went for a test drive but the first time I hit the brakes, the left front locked up. I figured too long in storage, bought it and trailered it home. I had a local mechanic shop re work the brakes. New master cylinder, wheel cylinders, shoes and turn drums. They also rebuilt the carburator as it was leaking. When I picked it up from the shop, it would start and run fine but would die when put in gear. I trailered it home and now, a year later, I have still not had time to work on it so the wife says it has to go. The pictures tell the story here. It has the sliding steering wheel, a 390 engine with the heater core bypassed, brown exterior with white top and white interior. She seems to be in original condition, but I am not sure. The paint has several door dings in it but I have seen no major rust issues. The power windows /locks are not working and the door hardware has been removed but is present. Glass is all good, interior looks real nice but has a mouse hole in the back seat near floor and beneath armrest. Tires are decent. I have removed the thunderbird letters from the hood and the "H" is missing. I have the rest. I have a clear Arkansas title. This would make a wonderful project car or could be a daily driver with a little TLC. I simply don't have the time to care for it properly.
