Vehicle Detail
This 1966 Mustang has a Racerback style hardtop. She does not have a soft convertible top. The hardtop goes on easily with 4 bolts in about 10 minutes. The top is not heavy but its size makes it more practical to use 2 people for installation and removal. I built a hanging rack in my garage for it that the new owner is welcome to have. She has a 5.0L engine from a mid-80s Mustang and the engine runs very well. The aluminum radiator is new and will stand up to Texas heat and the flywheel is correct for the conversion. She has her original automatic transmission which shifts smoothly and quietly. She will drive you home just fine, or you can arrange shipping. She has a 6 disc changer and a radio, though looks original, is new with iPod connection and general MP3 player connection. She has disc brakes for nice stopping power- not too many Mustangs have disc brakes. The tires are 18 months old in great shape and with plenty of tread. The upholstery has been cared for with Leatherique and is in excellent condition. The carpet is correct for the Mustang but only about 3 years old. The mats are the correct Mustang logo-ed mats. The trunk has a plaid patterned liner. The car is very clean and has lived in an air conditioned garage. The engine pictures show the cleanliness of the compartment. If you'd like to pre-pay a mechanic to do an inspection I'm happy to take her to one of your choice within 5 miles of zip 77571. Please don't call about the Reserve. You know what your budget is and just bid to that amount. Ebay uses the lowest bid possible that exceeds someone else's bid or the Reserve. There is more information on this on Ebay's site but an example is that if there is an item with a reserve of $100. You place a maximum bid of $150. Ebay does not automatically place a bid of $150 for you. They set a bid of $100 and only goes up if someone else bids $105. If the item does not reach reserve at auction's end the seller has the opportunity of sending a second chance offer to all bidders, not watchers, with an offer price not to exceed the reserve.
