Vehicle Detail
1957 Chevy 210 Sport Coupe 2-door hardtop (no post) Canyon Coral with Indian Ivory Top Original 283 Powerpack 4 barrel Powerglide Transmission Power Steering (factory option) Original Interior 67,652 Actual Miles! Clear Title Up for bid is this nice 1957 Chevy 210 series sport coupe. This car is all original and has the canyon coral and indian ivory paint scheme. My Dad is the current owner of this collector car and has owned it for the past 19 years. He knows the two previous owners of the car, so he has a good history of the car dating back for approximately 35 years or more. This car has never been fully restored, and as the pictures depict, it is in very nice condition. It has always been garage kept and well taken care of. The engine was completely rebuilt approximately 18 years ago, and this car runs and drives great. This is a nice solid car, that would be a plus to any collection. There are several pictures of the car on this listing, and I have taken some additional pics if anyone is interested. As stated above the interior is all original and is in good overall condition. The drivers side door panel is showing some wear towards the bottom half of the panel. The passenger side door panel looks good with the exception of a small tear on the top right edge. Headliner is a little faded looking, but is pretty remarkable considering its age, I wish a current GM liner would last that good! The paint is slick and glossy, but has some light cracking in the clear coat, and some issues in the basecoat on the lower passenger side fender. (I have included pictures of these issues). The powerglide transmission will leak some when sitting (typical of most all powerglides). I take great pride in full disclosure, and I can assure you that you will find this car an exceptional value even at well above the reserve price! Interested bidders may email me with any questions. On Jun-10-10 at 18:55:48 PDT, seller added the following information: In response to several inquiries.. I added the VIN #VB 57N215176 to the listing a few days ago. Also, several interested bidders have ask if the car is numbers matching. I don't have the documentation... so I can't be sure of that. I can tell you that when my Dad purchased it 19 yrs. ago... he had the engine rebuilt using another V8 Powerpack block that had not ever been bored... since the one in the car had been bored before. The use of the other 283 block and the belair style spinner hubcaps are the only two things that I know of that would differ. The car does not have the original jack or lugwrench. ALSO... SOME OF YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED THAT THE BID ON THE CAR DROPPED DRASTICALLY TODAY (6/10/10). THIS WAS DUE TO THE HIGH BIDDER RETRACTING HIS BID AFTER 4 DAYS. THIS BIDDER HAS NEVER CONTACTED ME TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CAR, AND APPARENTLY MUST HAVE BEEN FISHING FOR THE RESERVE SINCE HE BID THE CAR UP TO THE RESERVE IN THE FIRST HOURS OF THE LISTING AND THEN DECIDED TO RETRACT 4 DAYS LATER.. (CITING WRONG BID AMOUNT ENTERED).. AND THE FUNNY THING IS THAT I AM SUPPOSED TO BELIEVE THAT!! I have contemplated pulling the listing and relisting immediately to block this bidder, but the listing remains. You can see the retracted bid by clicking on the bid number link in blue near the top of the listing. SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY PLEASE... and feel free to ask any questions that you might have. Thank you for your interest.
