My dad bought it in 1988 and I traded him my Audi for it in 1991. It reached 200k in 2001. It runs strong and smooth on the highway at whatever speed you want. It has excellent get up and go from a stop and the tranny shifts like a dream. Good as a reliable every day driver right now, just needs cosmetic work already described. I get looks and "thumbs up" and "nice Mustang!" every day so I can only imagine how much better it would be with a face lift!On Jun-10-10 at 11:18:55 PDT, seller added the following information: No known accidents. We've had the car since 1988. The dent you see on the driver's rear fender happened while it was parked in our driveway and some landscapers bumped it. It's been in the garage for most of the time I've had it. Much of the sun damage you see is pre existing from the first 20 years before we bought it. When I replaced the original carpeting 15 years ago I saw no rust problems. It's been in Arizona for over the last 20 years. The paint is the same paint job since we got it. Just has little spots of rust from the exposed metal. Definitely no rust through like you would see on a east coast "Rustang"! Only 14k driven in the last 9 years.
