1971 Ford LTD Brougham 2 door hardtop This car was purchased new at Bison Ford Motor Company in Great Falls, Montana. I purchased it from the second owner about a year ago. She had owned it since approximately 1974. The car is very straight and honest. No rust underneath or in the doors or quarter panels. There is, however, a couple bubbles under the vinyl top on the right side, behind the rear window. The paint is badly faded and will not buff out. All chrome and moldings are in nice shape. There is a small ding by the tail lamp on the left rear (see pictures). Other than that, the car is straight and shows no signs of ever being in an accident. The interior is the best I have ever seen in any 39 year old car. The seats, carpet and door panels still look like new. The dash is very nice except for two small cracks that come down from the center vent. The radio, heater, lights, wipers and etc. all work well. However, the clock and A/C are not working. All glass is good with no cracks or chips. The car starts and runs, but acts like it may still have some bad gas. It goes down the road, through all the gears like it should, but idles roughly. The engine is a 400 with an automatic. It has power disc brakes that work fine. The power steering is smooth and quiet. The speedometer shows 52764 and I have no way of knowing if it’s actual or not. I would think that it is by the looks of the interior, but I have no proof. The car had been setting for about 14 years before I got it and the lady could not remember much. The original owners manual is in the glove box. The jack, spare, and all the other original stuff are still in the trunk. It even still has the original full front and back floor mats. I have a clean and current Montana title. The car is available for inspection almost any time for local buyers. As you can see by my feedback, I pride myself on honesty whenever I sell. All I ask is please DON’T bid if you can’t or won’t pay. Let me repeat the two negatives about the car; minor bubbles under the vinyl top and it idles roughly. Other than that, this is a fine example of a very well kept older car. It is sold AS IS, WHERE IS with the buyer responsible for transportation.
