Vehicle Detail
Boldly go where few will follow in this 1985 GMC 4x4 short bed. The Camo green with Ghost flames is accented with enough gleaming chrome to ensure non stop head turning fun. The engine is a GM Goodwrench 350 with under 30,000 miles on it. It has a three inch exhaust, a Comp cam and lifter set and an Edelbrock Torker ll intake manifold to help bring on the power and keep it readily available. She runs strong and starts easy no matter the weather. The transmission is a automatic TH-350 that was rebuilt six months ago. It shifts smooth and clean on the highway and puts the power to the ground when locked in four wheel drive. A B&M Megashifter was also recently installed to allow absolute control over gear selection. This truck is lifted four inches with a good set of 35x12.50x15 BFG All Terrain tires on it. The four wheel drive is outstanding in this beast with a good tight transfer case and Warn manual locking hubs. From up in the drivers seat one has a one of a kind elevated view down on the world. Where ever you choose to take it. New brakes, tilt steering, after market steering wheel, power brakes, power windows, power locks, bucket seats, skull print rear window, and phantom billet Grille are all just details that help make this truck what it is, and it is Bad to the Bone. In general these trucks make great off road machines, due to their simplicity, parts availability, and affordability. This one is a clean custom rig that has had a ton of parts and money thrown at it in the last year replacing all the major elements. It has been worked over from bumper to bumper with off road intentions leaving only a few loose ends unaddressed. It has no radio, a bad heater core, and always set the parking brake. Since the shifter has been installed there has been a problem with park engaging. Overall it could use some fine tuning, and a little love but it is a nice one of a kind truck. I personally have so many toys and projects that this one has drifted to the back burner and something has got to go. I have been straight forward and honest with my description trying to include every detail good, bad or indifferent. If you have any questions just ask. This truck is what it is, is to be sold where it is, how it is. Good luck and Happy eBaying!
