Vehicle Detail

For Sale 1969 White Boss 429. Same owner since the mid seventies the story I have is from 1973. This car has very low original milage of 34,877. This car has the original block and I have pictures of the original vin when we pulled the engine. It also has the original tranny and I have pictures of the original vin on the tranny. The rear end is correct date coded and original to the car. The vin in the windshield is original and has never been removed. The vin on the door is new from Kevin Marti but we have the original one and it is with the pictures we have. I also have pictures of both sides of the original vin on the inner aprons and would be happy to send those pictures to anyone that would like them. We have around 300 pictures we took of the car before we took it apart, during the time we took it apart, after the car was media blasted, many pictures during the restoration and then many pictures once the car was restored. We have a very mint build sheet that was taped to the seat risor on the passenger side that comes with the car. This car was sold in Port Jefferson NY which is part of Long Island new at a dealer called Ramp Motors. I also have an original metal name plate from the dealer that comes with the car. It will need to be rechromed if you want it to look perfect. All I know about the original owner is he was the son of a repair shop owner and he sold the car to the guy I bought it from in 1973. The second owner drove it to Miami several times and then in the mid 70s had a minor accident and left it parked until I bought the car in late November of 2009. The car never left Long Island New York. This car has not been judged but it will make a concours trailered gold in the MCA or you can bring it back to us and we will take care of the items needed until it will. All our cars that have been judged have scored a concours gold so I am confident this one will also. When we restore a car we restore absolutely everything or replace it to look like new or better. The engine was complete when we got the car and has the right vin stamped on the back and we sent it out and had it rebuilt and then dynoed and it made 468 HP with standard equipment other then headers on the dyno machine. The tranny was also correct and we sent it out and had it rebuilt and our shop rebuilds the rear end which was date code correct and original to the car. We put all new correct date code Carlite glass in the car. All the side glass and the front and rear window. I dont care how well the car was cared for new glass looks nicer and much cleaner and sharper. All the body panels are fit much tighter and nicer then they did from the factory and then we paint the car with a base coat clear coat. The body is exceptional and all the gaps and fitment is extremely nice way better then they came from the factory with. All the interior parts are either new or refurbished. All the wiring is original and it has been gone through and refurbished and tested and fixed as needed. The seat belts are all sent out and reconditioned to look as good as new. The plastic chrome around the gauges and elsewhere are sent out and rechromed to look like new. We put in all new headliner, carpet, seat covers, dash and door panels. The steering wheel is sent out and restored to look like new. Absolutely everything on the interior is refurbished or new and it looks that way. The underside of the car is extremely nice. We media blast it then fix any dings that we see and then we actually do body work on the bottom of the car. When we are done the bottom of the car has only the spot welds and items that came on the car when it was new. We then prime the bottom of the car and block sand it out and then we red oxide the bottom of the car. Then we put black seam sealer in the same areas that it came from the factory with. We then undercoat the wheel wells and the drive shaft area but leave the floor boards with only primer to show off the nice seams and spot welds. We then overspray the body color on the bottom of the car to replicate the factory overspray. All the suspension is original. The rear leaf springs have the Boss 9 information on the bottom leaf. The upper and lower control arms are taken apart and new correct ball joints are put in. We also media blast them and sand out any pits and then tumble them for a day. The new ball joints are put in using the original type rivets with the same type of markings on the top. The drive shaft, rear end, tranny, leaf springs and other items have all the correct markings on them. We do them correctly but dont get carried away like you see many times when people dont know where the markings are suppose to be. The bottom of the car is very impressive and looks just like it just rolled off the assemble line. Under the hood we have the engine and other items all painted the correct Ford blue. The engine bay itself is painted a satin black that isnt too shiny and isnt too flat but looks just like it did from the factory. If you look closely at the inner aprons where the aprons overlap the shock towers you can see perfect factory spot welds. Many times these areas have body work done to them and they are missing the spot welds. Absolutely everything has the right date or code on this car. The carb, dist, radiator, belts, hoses, intake, exhaust manifolds and on and on. You wont be able to find one part that isnt correct for this car. Our shop specializes on Boss 429s and Boss 302s. Not only is the body work exceptional but everything is done correctly. We encourage people to come look at our cars but we have never had a disappointed person when they bought the car sight unseen. If you would like any other information or pictures please give me a call. Thanks Kevin Manley. 612-275-8722 kevinmanley2005@yahoo.com This car of course is registered with the Boss 429 Data Base.
