For Sale is our 1978 VW Beetle Convertible. Last of the Karmann Ghia, including the Wolfsburg wheels. This car was purchased in California, and shipped to Western PA, and has been garaged for the last 6 years. The wheels have never been driven on a PA road except from the trailer to the garage. It ran when purchased but not very well. I started to pull the engine but never finished; so an overhaul is needed. No rust in the floor, trunk, or engine compartments. Minor rust in the compartment where the convertible top stores when retracted. Body is solid with a minor ding in the Rt rear fender and some paint flaking on the hood. I have all the parts, with an extra chrome fan shroud and one running board. Glass for rear window is intact, doors work and fit nicely, all glass is intact and windows roll up and down. Condition/Work Required: 1. Engine, Tranmission need Overhaul as it has 163K miles 2. Convertible Top needs to be replaced (frame is in good condition) 3. Body work: paint, ding in right rear fender (see photo). 4. The Undercarriage and Floorboards are in good shape 6. The Interior as well as the rear and passenger seats are in good shape, dashboard in nice condition (no cracks-see photo). This was going to be a project car for my wife.
