Up for auction is a 1959 Chevrolet Apache 3100 truck shortbed stepside RAT ROD with 70,000 original miles on the body and chassis. The truck originally came with a inline six cylinder and three speed on the column manual transmission. It now has a rebuilt 350 bored 30 over with all new crankshaft,main bearings,connecting rod bearings,flat top pistons,rings,all balanced,,,oil pump,heads,mild camshaft,lifters,fuel pump,timing chain set,oil pan,neoprene 1pc oil pan gasket, cast aluminum valve covers,neoprene valve cover gaskets,edelbrock aluminum intake,Holley carburator,aluminum water pump,flex plate,HEI distributor,and new spark plugs and wires.The engine has no leaks,drips,oil drooling, or any of that stuff the engine is brand new. The exhaust is straight long tube headers, it has NO mufflers or exhaust pipes. It has a polished aluminum alternator and brackets, and chrome pulley's along with a new belt. For cooling it has an aluminum Radiator and flex lite fan ,along with new radiator hoses. It has a rebuilt 700r4 4speed automatic transmission with neoprene pan gasket,and a new torque convertor.It also has a slight shift kit. The transmission is put into gear by using the factory column shift lever on the steering column.The transmission has no leaks,drips,oil drooling,or any of that stuff it is brand new. It has a new drive shaft. The gas tank has been cleaned on the inside and primer on the outside. All the factory instrument gauges work other than the speedo it is not hooked up. It still has the factory four wheel drum set up ,but it has all new wheel cylinders and pretty much all the brake lines have been replaced.It now has power brakes that work great and the truck stops really smooth. None of the glass is cracked or chipped. The floor pans are in excellent shape as can be seen in the pictures. I have a new seat cover still in the box that will go with the sale of this truck. My father in law wanted the RAT ROD look so it was never installed. The head lights work, the floor dimmer switch works. The turn signal switch and turn signal lamps work. The horn even works ,but it hasn't been put back on. The heater blower motor works. It still has the factory headliner in it in really good shape believe it or not. The interior of the truck has not been repainted or even cleaned it's in perfect shape as a RAT ROD For the exterior of the truck it is in perfect shape as a RAT ROD. It has rust,rust holes,minor dents and dings, original paint and so fourth. The chassis is in excellent shape no ROT. The truck drives nice and straight it has NO swaying or vibrations going down the road at any speed. The manual steering is nice and tight and extremly easy to turn,even at a stop. The truck has had about 800 miles put on it since all the work has been done to it.The truck starts right up asoon as you push the switch,The transmission goes right into gear with no delay's.I have driven it on the interstate and in traffic with no over heating issues or any other issues.This truck can and will drive any distance you want to drive it wether it be coast to coast or to a local car show with no worries. This RAT ROD was built for my father in law to take to local car shows ,but he has recently had some heart issues come about which has caused his Parkinson's disease to get worse too. This truck attracts alot of attention from people going down the road,in a parking lot, or at car shows and when the hood is popped it gets even more attention no one ever expects to see a motor that looks this good in it. This truck is one of a kind and who ever buy's it will not be disappointed. For delivery and pickup of the truck,,,the truck does not have to be picked up right away and can sit in my drive way for a reasonable length of time aslong as it has been paid for ,or if your paying to have it shipped no problem ether, but it does have to be paid for before it can be picked up. Also remember it can be driven to where ever you live or want to take it. For payments I will except a $300.00 paypal deposit and the rest in cash or certified money order or all in cash or certified money order. If the buyer chooses to use a certified money order then the truck can not be picked up until the check has cleared. Also I would be willing to except a payment plan interest free aslong as the $300.00 deposit has been made ,but if you are wanting to make payments please message me before bidding so we can discuss how much a month and for how many months..
