Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE!!! For sale, my blue on blue 1980 Chevy Camaro Berlinetta. Original 305 car, she now has a very healthy GM Performance LT-1 350 engine rated at 345 HP and 380 ft.lbs. of torque installed new in 2005. The Turbo 350 transmission was rebuilt in '05 as well. The pair have less than 1K miles since! I also installed a 1979 Z-28 limited slip rear but I'm not sure about the ratio. It came from a Z with an auto trans so might be around 3.23:1 or so. All these goodies make this car plenty fast for sure and a lot of fun to drive. It handles the road real well too! It features 15 inch Centerline wheels, Flowmaster duals, factory spoiler, rear window faring, new tires on the front, aftermarket tach, oil pressure and temperature gauges, Holley 650 carb, GM aluminum intake. Many new parts including: starter motor, front Z-28 coil springs, tie rods, center link, upper/lower ball joints, power steering gear box, aligment, ignition switch, turn signal switch. rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders, master cyl/booster combo, radiator, fan clutch, wiper blades and I just changed the engine oil and filter. This is a nice Camaro, but it is not perfect. The repaint is about 15 or 20 years old and starting to show it in places. The clearcoat on the roof is starting to fade, and the doors have various chips and dings. The hood and bumpers are starting to flake as well, but overall the paint still looks pretty good (a little darker shade of blue than the photos show). There is no major rust in the body - the floors and trunk are rock solid, as are the rockers, sail panels, fenders, etc. Only rust is in the decklid and a blister under the rear window. Not a major issue and typical for these cars. The interior is in fair condition - the seats, headliner, console are in good shape, the carpet, dash pad and instrument panel need work. Old window tint looks bad and is starting to peel off. The heater blower motor has a bad bearing and squeals when it's running (I just unplug it in the summer). Driver side door handle is cracked but still works. Also has Z-28 upper and lower front grilles, and air shocks on the rear for that old-school drag racing "sunday rake" stance. You can drive this car anywhere - across country or back and forth to work. I've used it to pick the kids up from school now and again and it always gets a thumbs up - even from the 4th graders! The belts and hoses are not new but in good shape. The head, tail, brake lamps all work. The turn signals work. Wipers work. The LT-1 engine is a long block built by GM and purchased from Summit Racing. It came complete with a new HEI distributer, coil, rotor, cap, Intake manifold, water pump. I still have the paperwork on the engine from GM with all the specs and the mileage on Camaro when I installed it. Overall she is a very nice Camaro needing only minor work to become a super nice Camaro. Thanks for looking, and please don't hesitate to email or call 334-740-1111 anytime if you have questions. I am a mechanic and performed all the work on this car myself and have owned it for five years. I know this car inside and out.
