Up for sale is my old vehicle: Kia Sportage 2000. I have recently purchased new car and do not need my precious Kia anymore. The car has been part of my life for a little less then an year.( I wanted to save some money for new car). During the time of my possession the car performed very well and apart from oil change it did not needed anything else. Recently the car has experiencing some throttle position sensor (TPS) problems ( pressing on the gas pedal but does not accelerate) but the problems goes away after 5-10 min (or 1 hour) in some cases. Then this will not happen for a week and then it might happen 3 times in one day. The mechanic I checked with said it need TPS replaced. I did not want to invest anything in this car since I was planning to get another one. Apart from that problem I have not experienced any other problems. Engine runs good and the five speed transmission shifts great. The breaks and tires were almost new when I bought the car (13k miles ago) and I bet they will last long time before they need to be changed. All electric works fine and the air conditioning is really cold. Power windows are working and door locks automatically. As you can see from the pictures there is a little rust on one side of the car but nothing major. The inside condition of the the car is poor. I have a dog so there are hairs on the seats and I have not cleaned the car before the sell. The gas consumption is about 25 on the highway. The car has a lot of space on the back and the rear seats are falling down making it perfect for transporting luggage and furniture if needed. I am selling this vehicle in Akron thinking it will be perfect for a student or cheap ride I live in a small town in NY and drove the car to my friends house in Akron. I have described the car to the best of my knowledge. I am not a car expert just the driver of the car and share my experience with it. You can come and see the vehicle on Saturday 10 to noon.
