Up for auction is a 1997 Dodge Ram 4x4 short bed pickup. The vehicle was sitting for about a year and a half as I did not have the need for a truck at the time. Squirrels got into the engine compartment made a nest and chewed on some wires. I cleaned out the engine compartment and to my surprise the vehicle started with a portable jump first time. I aired up the tires and drove the truck 20 miles to my new house where it currently resides. I noticed that the oil light stayed on in the vehicle although it has plent of oil (probably the pickup needs replaced). The brake light stayed on as well, further investigation revealed some wires damaged running back to the emergency brake cable. I think that the water pump needs replaced as it made a squealing noise (not doing it when I start it now). There is a leak in the power steering system as I had to add power steering fluid. As you can see from the pictures there is some damage to the chrome on the grill, the clear coat is flaking, there is a scratch in the driver's side door, driver seat cloth ripped, a small dent in the rear tailgate, the radio will have to be reinstalled, and I have had to air up the left front tire a couple of times. Overall, the truck needs some TLC and it should make someone a good truck.
