1963 Lincoln Continental We at Texas Classic Cars of Dallas are proud to present this 1963 Lincoln Continental Convertible. This Lincoln Continental is displayed in our showroom. We are located at 1912 W. Mockingbird Lane in Dallas, Texas 75235. This is a turn-key driver that is a pleasure to cruise in. Since still in production, we can't mention details, but this Lincoln will become a real conversation piece for the buyer. The Continental & Lincoln nameplates were first brought together in a car other than a "Mark" series in 1961. This body showcased a complete redesign by Elwood Engel. This slab bodied design would carry over little changed from 1961 to 1969. The 1963 model showcased a redesigned grille along with subtle changes. The suicide opening rear doors that were soon to become a Lincoln trademark were designed with function in mind, to aid in entering and exiting the car. This is a very comfortable example with recently reupholstered seating front & rear. The dash displays the original gauges throughout along with the working original AM radio. The dash is clean and detailed, there are 3 hairline cracks to note near the center speaker grille (pictured). The body displays straight panels throughout with an older black finish. There are flaws throughout the paint on close inspection (pictured) The worst being the bubbling beginning in the photograph above. A new paint job would take this driver to another level. It rides on the original wheels and full face hubcaps. The UniRoyal Tiger Paw whitewall radial tires are sized at 235/75/R15 x 4.
