Original Condition and Complete. 99% rust free California car. Second Cougar to be sold in California. I am second owner since 1990. Vehicle has been parked since 1996 and was driven daily until that time. Stopped use because of children. Currently there is a stuck master cylinder. I have not started the vehicle although it ran just fine when the registration ran out. The non-op status expired and the VIN dropped off the system. I have applied for a duplicate title and the original classic black license plates do go with the sale. I was told that they can be reissued for the car as they were originally on the car when new. 289 4V V8 and C4 Trans. Factory power steering and power disc brakes.. Some body damage to left fender and another rust free fender comes with the sale as does a complete grille and hide away headlamp assembly, both bumpers, and hood with hinges and front valance and parking lamps. I cannot find the wheel covers or the glove box door. The jack is in the trunk. Most all the paint is original and there is a slight rust spot behind the right rear tire at the bottom of the quarter panel. The rear window trim is in the trunk. Two small rips in the headliner. Upholstery is not torn. Some effort to remove parking lot dings on the sides was done in preparation for paint before the car got parked. This is as original as they come and I have collected most all the parts that it may need for cosmetic restoration. Moving out of state. They said in a note attached that I may need these in order to maintain use of the original classic license plates on the vehicle. They normally do not permit this. They want to issue new plates. I indicated at the time I filed for a lost title that I had no intentions of surrendering the original classic license plates to them. I am willing to bring the registration up to current to do the transfer to new owner so that the new owner can keep the original black California pre 1970 Classic License Plates as it is quite rare these days to see the original plates. It adds significantly to the value if you are a seasoned collector. I also went out today and turned the motor with the fan. It does turn in both directions as to remove doubt that the engine is frozen or blown up.
