0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false 1985 Jeep CJ7 with 4.2L 258ci 6-cylinder and 4-speed Manual Transmission runs and drives great. Used as a daily driver for the past few months. There are no problems with the Jeep...it just no longer fits with the demands of life/family. This CJ was completely restored over the past 3 years and is in immaculate condition. Nearly everything has been replaced -- engine, complete interior, all electrical, fuel system, ignition system, tires, bumpers, lighting, etc…please read on. I have all receipts for service and parts dating back to 1990. All receipts are from warm weather climates - no snow/salt from roads. Only 620 miles on re-manufactured Marshall engine installed in 2007 with new clutch, flywheel, harmonic balancer, radiator, etc. Transmission, transfer case, front/rear diff inspected and serviced in 2007. Interior was completely replaced in 2009: new carpet; new front bucket seats and rear fold-and-tumble bench; new front/rear seat belts; new roll bar cover; new leather-wrapped OEM steering wheel; new heater cables; heater box rebuilt with new blower motor and heater core; floor boards covered in Dynamat insulation to reduce noise; new dash plate (with original gauges) and dash pad; Tuffy lockable center console with JVC CD/MP3 player; two 6x9 speaker pods. CJ was completely rewired in 2009 with a Painless Wiring pre-terminated harness/fuse block and new Optima battery; all new exterior light housings and bulbs (headlights, tail lights, flashers); new switches for the heater blower, headlights, high beams, wipers, and brake lights; new starter solenoid; new steering column wiring/switches/ignition key. Fuel system replaced in 2009 with a new 21 gallon polyethylene tank with new sending unit, fuel filler bezel/hoses, and skid plate; new 2BBL Weber carb; new fuel filter and flow regulator. New Performance Distributors DUI Distributor, Live Wire plug wires, and new plugs installed in late-2009. This is a high performance, electronic HEI distributor with built-in coil. Many exterior items replaced in 2008-09, including: new Bestop Supertop with full soft doors; also includes Bestop Bikini Top, Duster Rear Deck cover, and Windjammer; new front bumper, side step rails. and rear bumper with spare tire carrier. It has full steel doors with new locks/handles/weather-stripping and new glass (passenger side). All four tires replaced in 2009 with 32 x 11.50R15. Includes a box of spare parts and hardware...plus, new exterior black diamond-plate covers for the rear quarters. Of course, there's no warranty and the CJ is sold as is.
