Vehicle Detail

This is a 1969 MGB Convertible Roadster. Comes with a huge amount of new parts. Clear NY title. Runs excellent and drives just fine. Needs a little TLC, perhaps, but a great car to drive now and restore later or over time. 4 speed manual, non-overdrive. Showing 75,673 miles but speedo cable broke within the last 500 miles. Have replacement cable. This car looks a bit scruffy but is really solid and complete, and best of all body is very original - original paint. No Bondo. Paint does show it's age, but that's better than some crappy amateur paintjob with overspray, etc. It is very straight and has excellent gaps and panel transitions. Does NOT have seam corrosion. You can jack it up from jack points! Battery area is very good. Chrome and windshield frame will clean up nicely. Has had a dash cover installed that is lifting in the middle. The radio does not work and needs help. See photos. Look closely. I have shown what rust it does have which isn't much. This car would serve just fine as a daily driver as is. But for someone wanting to restore it completely - I have most if not all of the parts needed - see list below. All the parts and service I listed below were done about 6 years and 6000 miles ago: New clutch. New water pump and 160 degree thermostat. Never runs hot. Rebuilt/synchronized carbs. New SU dual voltage electronic fuel pump and fuel gauge sender. Repainted engine and ancillaries. Re-finished air filters with new elements. New oil pump and bearings. It is strong, smooth with no oil leaks! I repeat...no oil leaks! Has spin on filter conversion. New oil cooler and hoses. New wiring harness with conversion to new alternator with new regulator. (69 was change over year). Starter rebuilt. Paeco free flow exhaust and tube headers. Converted to front tube shocks with adjustable SPAX shocks. Front end stripped and painted/rebuilt at that time. New bump stops. Brake and clutch hydraulics all new at same time, (masters/slaves), with new hoses, clevis pins etc. New Brake pads, shoes, cylinders etc. Rear springs redone. Suspension re-bushed. 5 New Semperit radials, tubes and bands on blasted, primed, painted, balanced wheels with new 2 ear knock offs. (had hex style). New washer pump, fuel hoses, water hoses, and outside mirrors. Seats redone in leather. Seats done without head rests. Drivers seat has slight seam failure from in and out at usual spot. This can be seen in shot of seats. New door panels at same time. New door caps. New 3 point belts. Carpets also done. Not all carpet installed. Some carpet separate waiting on metal work. Re-finished battery cover. New battery hold down hardware. New acrylic stayfast top that is a little too tight and has some stitch unraveling at left side front corner. Has the side folding style top frame. New non-headrest tonneau still in bag along with a used headrest style tonneau (also tight). New side trim and extra used side trim with car as well as what is on it now. New griile, 2 new outside mirrors. New choke and throttle cables. Re-finished heater. Refinished fuel tank. Excellent radiator. Transmission is outstanding. Shifts up and down the way it should. Very pleasing and silky. Shift lever slightly modified to fall closer to hand. New trans mounts and re-finished cross member. Rear end excellent and quiet. Again, as I said, all this was done 6 years and 6000 miles ago. There is a small through hole in the front right corner of the passenger floor. There is a 'repaired' rust through at the drivers rear 1/4 that has metal tape and paint over it. The parts I am supplying include this sheet metal as well as all the rest you may need. Again, I am supplying most everything needed to fix any issues. The doors have NO stress cracks at the vents. Also comes with the following: Tonneau bars and bag with corner chewed. 2) NOS (Brit Leyland) outer rockers. 1) 1970 door-no cracks has all mechanisms and vent with broken main glass. 1) 1970 trunk lid. 2) NROS (Steelcraft) rear fenders. 1) NORS (Steelcraft) right door skin. 2) NROS rear of front fender repair panels. 1) NORS right door sill (may have other, need to keep looking). 1) Set new floor insulation strips. 1) Set new sill rubber covers. These parts are dusty from storage. Lots of other bits too numerous to list like window seals, etc. etc Could be driven anywhere with legal plates and registration. Pickup only, or you arrange for shipping. ASK QUESTIONS!!!! COME LOOK AT IT!!!! IF YOU HAVE 0 ZERO FEEDBACK, YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO BID! Powered by eBay Turbo ListerThe free listing tool.
