Vehicle Detail

1989 FORD E-150 HIGH TOP CONVERSION VAN with Braun wheelchair lift with 113K miles. Low mileage custom van with rear door mount Braun lift. I have owned this van since April 1997 and put 57,000 miles on it. Well maintained but as with any 21 year old vehicle there a couple of minor issues. I will describe the pluses as well as the minuses to give you a fair appraisal. The van is setup with two front seats, driver's seat is power, and the back is open for a wheelchair to enter from the rear. The lift could be moved to the side door to accommodate different needs. None of he van's doors have been modified. THERE ARE NO HANDICAP DRIVER'S CONTROLS. The other two captain chairs are included, with bases, and the reclining sofa. The second pair of seats and sofa are not mounted. Oak cabinet overhead with TV and storage. Overhead console in the drivers compartment has light controls and two small storage pockets. K40 radar detector built into the overhead console.. Six aircraft style lights and soft indirect lighting behind oak valances. The rear cabinet doesn't have any storage space since the lift takes up the area behind the cabinet. The carpet was replaced a few years ago and is in good shape. There is a storage box between the front seats, it can be removed if desired. The body is free of dents, except for one about the size of your palm on the right rear just above the bumper, doesn't even show in the pictures. Paint is not peeling or cracked but does have the normal small rock chips you would exect after 20 years. The paint could use a good polishing. The wheels are aluminum and the tires have between 7/32 and 9/32 tread. Fiberglass running boards. Tire mounted on the rear door. Receiver hitch. The dash pad is cracked, common among this model of Ford vans; most people put a dash pad cover them. The radio doesn't work. The TV works but it is the old style and doesn't pick up the new signals-just like the home TVs. The window tint on the back doors is wrinkled. One curtain is torn. The large conversion windows have pleated shades on the back two but not the front one. It doesn't burn any oil but does drip a little. Reason for selling: it's too large to pull behind a gas powered motorhome. Van does drive and rides well. Braun lift works well. As with most used vehicles sold as is.
