Vehicle Detail
This car had been partially dismantled by the previous owner and stored in his garage for 15 years. I acquired the car when he decided that he would not be able to perform the planned restoration. I have come out of retirement and no longer have the time to complete this restoration. The frame has been media blasted, coated with DP40 epoxy primer and painted with gloss black acrylic enamel. The front-end has been rebuilt, including rack & pinion steering, bushings, bearings, seals, tie-rod ends, etc. The hydraulic dampers (shocks) were rebuilt at Apple Hydraulics and the brake shoes relined, drums machined, wheel cylinders rebuilt, all new hydraulic lines installed, new handbrake cable, and master cylinder rebuilt. The rear axle has new seals, check straps, rubber bump pads, axle pad set, and rebuilt hydraulic dampers. The gas tank has been dipped, cleaned, and painted with a new sending unit installed, as well as a new fuel pump and fuel line. A complete body packing kit is included. Original wire wheels refurbished and painted with the correct paint. New knock-off wheel nuts with MG crest and new 165R-15 tires installed. New Optima 12v battery and cables. A spare parts metal storage container has been installed on the driver side battery holder. New exhaust pipes, mufffler, and hangers. New wood floor boards painted and installed with new screw & washer set. The engine has been rebuilt by a machine shop experienced with British engines. S.U. carbs rebuilt a Apple Hydraulics, new generator, water pump, timing chain, tensioner, sprockets, tappet & pushrod set, valves, rings, polished crank, and new engine mounts. A new complete cloth wiring harness is included. New clutch and the transmission has been rebuilt in England. The heater has been rebuilt and ready to install with all new cables, knobs, switch, air duct tubes, etc. A new banjo style (original) steering wheel is installed. Numerous parts have been media blasted, painted, and ready for final assembly. There are many parts already purchased and waiting for final assembly. All receipts and invoices from suppliers will accompany the car. The body needs to be prepped and painted for final assembly and the upholstery work needs to be completed. The windshield glass and frame are in very good condition. The rear bumper is missing but replacements are available. The top frame is complete. Luggage rack included. Spare left front fender and 2 radiators included. For questions, you may contact Dick at 702-241-6989.
