*** 1990 Mercedes Benz *** 300 SEL Hello! Up for auction is a 1990 Mercedes Benz 300 SEL. I bought this car in 2002 with the intentions doing restoration and keeping it as a weekend driver. Because of finances, I am forced to sell this car. This car has been very reliable and runs strong. I do not have the receipts for the work I have done on the car, but what I list can be verified by a mechanic. The most recent work was new brakes, rotors, and sensors, for front and back. These were replaced in 2008 and have less than 800 miles of wear. In addition to this since 2002, I have replaced the following: New Radiator, New Shocks and Springs for front and back, New Catalytic Converter, New Center Muffler, and New Rear Muffler; All new Coolant Hoses , New Serpentine Belt, New Thermostat, Replaced Cracked Wood Pannel on Front Passenger Door. What is also included with the car and in the photo provided, I am including The Mercedes SEL Service manual on CD rom, 2 New Chrome sills for front Driver and Passenger Doors, A new Oil Filter made by Mercedes Benz, Mileage Award Certificate Issued by Mercedes Benz along with the Grill Badge designating the award. The interior of the car has never been smoked in nor have I used air refresheners, so it has that old Mercedes Leather Smell. The dashboard has NO cracks or repair, speedometer needles still have a vibrant color. What this car will need in repairs is, it will need an AC recharge, the paint on the car is 20 years old with cracking on the hood, and has minor rear right passenger door damage, so new paint is needed overall for perfection, the tint on the rear passenger door is torn and needs to be replaced, the driver's side vanity mirror is missing, the sunroof has a plastic pull bracket that broke, so sunroof does not function, but the motor and everything else works well, the check engine light will not go off and may need a O2 sensor replacement. The driver's seat has a tear that needs to be fixed (In photograph) as well as a very small tear on passnger side. Overall though, the leather is in very good condition for its age.
