1998 Honda Valkyrie

You are bidding on one 1998 Honda Valkyrie three-wheel trike conversion. This trike started life as a bone stock 1998 Honda Valkyrie F6C motorcycle, having a 1500cc, six-cylinder "boxer" type water cooled engine (for cool riding/idle in hot summer climates), mated to a smooth five-speed transmission, with power to the wheels via a drive-shaft (not a clanky chain or a flimsy rubber drive-belt). This is NOT a "Voyager" act-like-a-trike-conversion...this is the real deal! The original 1998 two-wheel Honda Valkyrie motorcycle was delivered to Motor Trike Company of Troop Texas (a leading company that specializes in professional conversions of two-wheel motorcycles into three wheeled "trike" motorcycles), who then performed their "magic", turning it into this nice three-wheeled example that you see in the photos. For those folks who are a little shaky riding a two wheel motorcycle, this is truly a safe, care-free driving experience...when you are riding this one, you don't even have to put your feet down at stop lights! Owned by a seasoned female rider (my wife) since 2004, this bike has lead a pampered, sheltered life in the Great State of Texas. Always garaged in a temperature controlled warehouse, newly washed and waxed, with regular oil and oil filter changes performed at every 3,000 miles, this bike purrs like a kitten, with a nice mellow exhaust note from the dual pipes exiting to the rear. The huge windshield affords all the comforts of driving, without wind interference. The powerful motor makes cruising at highway speeds a dream, and let's not forget how cool the whole package looks...definitely not a "cookie cutter" look-alike, like so many bikes on the road. Many numerous tasteful chrome "add-ons", make this bike a stunning example of just how rich and expensive black and chrome look together. In addition, new parts installed in mid-2009 include; a brand new one piece drive shaft, two brand new Honda u-joints (one installed at the motor output shaft, and one u-joint installed at the rear end pinion...this trike has a Ford rear differential), brand new front tire and a new K&N air filter has been installed. I want you to experience this motorcycle first hand and allow me to point out what I know to be it's strengths and it's very few minor weakness...a nick or scratch here or there and like most Valkyries, it has that touchy starter button issue...sometimes you have to spend a few seconds to wiggle the starter button and hold your mouth just right to get power to the starter motor...an easy fix by replacing the handlebar starter switch, but one I haven't performed since we've owned it! I would sell this trike to my very own mother, but, like all my other car/motorcycle sales, it is being sold, as-is-where-is, without any warranty expressed or implied.
