Vehicle Detail
We are moving and I must sell my project! This car was my daily driver for 2 years. It became the car I was going to use for rally after I bought my 5 series, but it never happened. It has a salvage title, but do not let this scare you away. The reason it has a salvage title is due to an accident that happened many years before I bought it. The previous owner bought it as a salvage and repaired it. He did a marvolous job, because this car handles wonderfully. This car is in great driving condition and is clear to register in about anyplace. This car would be prefect for a BMW freak looking for a restoration project, parts car, a donor for a spec racer, or just a good car to fix up for regular use. The good; strong running motor- less than 30k miles on the timing belt, strong transmission, limited slip differential, under 4k miles on the shocks/ brakes/ tires, no cancerous rust (small spots- nothing major), factory jack and tire iron, full factory BMW tool set, trunk mounted battery with propper cover, all windows mirrors and sunroof function perfectly, the overhead is in good shape and has no droop, the exhaust is solid and has no leaks (this car has a stock exhaust and is quiet) The bad; the passenger seat is missing (they can be found on ebay for a good price- never used seat covers are included), the trip computer does not function (available on ebay) The ugly; there is common wear you will find on an unrestored 25 year old car, the back was hit (and run) in a parking lot (the damage is pictured and totaly repairable, there is a couple of dents that will be easy to take out, the battery is no good Parts included; entire replacement dash in excellent shape (no cracks), 4 spare instrument clusters, a full set of front and back replacement seat covers (these do not go over the seat fabric/leather, they are full replacement covers based on the BMW factory covers), MTech steering wheel, BMW factory stereo with code, replacement factory fog lamps, extra engine wiring harness, extra injector bar with 2 injectors, several body panel fairings, Chilton's repair manual, never installed Dinan chip correct for the E model (if it was for an I model, I would be using it in my 525) This is a good solid car that I hate to see go- but my wife has given me choices to make, and selling this car was one of them. My loss is your gain!
