This is a 1968 Austin Healey Sprite that comes with an Arkley SS body conversation kit, not installed. The car has NO drivetrain! The odometer reads 10,826 miles but I can't verify if that is accurate. The Arkley SS was designed and first built in the UK in 1970 and the kits have been produced in the US for at least 20 years or more and have been featured in several major magazines both here and the UK. This is not a kit car, the Arkley uses either the MG Midget or the AH Sprite for its donor car. It has (2) body section, the front section is hinged and tilts forward when opened and the rear section is "bonded" to the body. The major work of removing the the rear sheetmetal has been done. The car is rust free, never been hit and has been off the road for at least 13 years but alwasy stored indoors. The body was media blasted about 10 years ago but never primed, therefore there is some discoloration to the metal or surface rust which can be removed with a light sanding. The picture shows a small amount of bondo on one door and that is very minor. The car comes with most of the major componets, ie, seats, radiator, fuel tank, brake/clutch pedals and more. I can't guarantee that the car is 100% complete. The Arkley SS kit by itself would sell for $2000.00.
