Vehicle Detail
TRUCK IS SOLD WITHOUT THE BED SHOWN IN THE PICTURE, IF YOU WANT THE BED, ADD $200 TO SELLING PRICE. It is a 1993 Dodge W250 four wheel drive, Cummins diesel, automatic overdrive recent tires and front brakes/calipers. Has the LE package. It has some rust, the floors and cab mounts are solid and the cab corners and lower pannels are not rotted, please see the pictures (and email for more picts, but include your email in the request so I can send them back). The bad points are A/C, parking brake (cables frozen), cruise contol (works sometimes, mostly not), do not work. When you turn the heat/def/vent on debris blows out the vents with a musty smell, must have gotten a mouse nest in the duct work. The body has a lot of dings and dents with the usual Dodge peeling paint. The under body was sprayed with rust preventative and the brake lines were replaced by the previous owner. It is a good relieable work truck. It starts very quick, the trans shifts normally, the power steering works well, 4wd works, original AM/FM stero works, all gauges work, power windows work, etc. This is the last and best year of the Dodge 1st gen diesel trucks. It has the higher horsepower aftercooled engine with 3.54/1 axle ratio and the overdive transmission and cast iron transfer case. These are better then the older Dodges with the non-aftercooled (lower horsepower) 3 speed direct drive transmssion with higher axle ratios (3.08/1) which is not as good for heavy loads or towing. (Although it is recommended to tow with OD off) These 1st gen trucks are very simple to work on with old style electircs and the straight front axle with locking hubs. Read up on these using web sites like 1stgen.org and the cummins forum. You can see the truck before you bid if you want to make appointment. I have back problems and the 3/4 ton vehicle ride doesn't agree with it on long trips. If you don't want the flatbed, I will deduct a couple hundred off the price although once you get used to the way it looks, it is the most handy item with the ability to really tie the load down, load with a forklift, larger capacity for bulky items and it is much newer then the truck with nothing more then surface rust. .
