Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is this 1952 Dodge B3B Pickup that I have owned since June 1988. The person I purchased it from back then had acquired it from a used car lot in in Loma Linda, Ca. 1955, and is believed to be the second owner. I contacted Daimler-Chrysler Museum in 2007 and was able to obtain the 'build card' for the truck that shows it was assembled in the San Leandro (Los Angeles, CA.) Plant on Jan 16, 1952 as a 108" wheelbase model with the Express Bed painted to match the 'deluxe' cab, and included the 'Fluid Drive' option. Except for the Visor/Sunshade, Driver's side spotlight, and outside rear view mirrors, the truck is virtually as it was when it left the factory. It even has a fairly rare OE style rear bumper, 4 original hub caps. The outside has been repainted once, in green which is similar to the original color. Metal inside the cab is the original factory green paint. The original wiring harness was replaced in 1989 or 1990 by an exact replacement using the original as a pattern, by YNZ Yesterday parts (http://www.ynzyesterdaysparts.com/) in Redlands, Ca. The engine starts easily, runs smoothly and does not smoke. Clutch, transmission, rear end are smooth and in good shape. Recently, the master cylinder and wheel cylinders were replaced with NEW, not rebuilt, units. Other than normal maintenance, the truck is 'original'. It is virtually rust free. Note: There is a spare tire carrier, but the spare 16" tire/rim is NOT included. I will include my available spare parts, core-value spares, original sales literature, reproduction repair manual, owner's manual and related memorabilia with the sale. This is a 58-year old, used truck. It is sold as-is, where-is. There is NO RESERVE. Average NADA Retail Value is $11,450. If you are looking for a great 'survivor' vehicle from this era, you will not be disappointed with this one. If you are the successful bidder, you need to make a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 at the close of auction, with the full balance due in 7 days or sooner. Test Drive: Walk Around: Thanks for looking, and happy bidding.
