The wife test drove one of those new Cadillac STSs, big mistake. Now I'm selling the old Cadillac STS, just after I put new brakes and shocks on it. This is a very reliable and well maintained car that we have used for year round transportation over the last 6 years. It is fabulous in the snow and pure luxury everywhere else. Mechanically, it is in excellent condition. The engine has tons of power and the transmission shifts firmly. The interior is clean and in very good condition, with factory new floor mats. The car has never been smoked in. Loaded with options including 300 horsepower 4.6 Northstar V8, front and back heated seats, driver and passenger 8 way power reclining seats with lumbar control, power sunroof, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, cruise control, anti-lock brakes, air bags, traction control, digital and analog instrument cluster, automatic headlights, electro-chromatic mirror, compass, 6 CD automatic changer, AM-FM multi band radio with CD and and cassette player, Bose speaker system, programmable garage door transmitters, 2 driver memory system, dual control automatic HVAC system, cruise control, power windows and door locks, keyless entry system, non electronic shocks. I don't think there was an option that this car doesn't have. The tires have 70% - 80% tread remaining. Known defects: 1) The fuel gauge does not read accurately. We just watch the "fuel used" display which tells us exactly how much gas was used since last fill up. 2) The right rear window switch is not operable. The window has to be raised and lowered by the driver. 3) There is a broken vent in the back of the console. 4) We have only one keyless transmitter. 5) Has the typical Northstar oil leak that looks like it is coming from the valve covers and oil pan. 6) Catalytic converter rattles at an idle. 7) some minor damage to bumpers from parking lot scrapes. 8) minor parking lot dings and scratches in the paint, which appears to be original. Someone is going to buy this car, it might as well be you. Terms of Sale Please send a non refundable $500 deposit within 48 hours of purchase and full payment within 14 days. The deposit can be made by wire transfer or Paypal. Final payment should be in cash (if you pick up the car) or wire transfer. I will accept bank and personal checks, but they must clear before the car can be released. Car needs to be picked up no later than 25 days after auction ends, or my wife might sell me on eBay. Buyer is responsible for picking up or transporting the car. I will be glad to help arrange shipping, pickup or assist in any way possible. Please don't bid unless you intend to buy the car.
