Up for sale today is one 1986 Mercedes Benz 190e 2.3 The Good: Car runs excellent. Starts on first try, every try. Transmission shifts well. Interior is in good shape for the age. One minor split on the drivers seat, and could use some upholstery glue around the door. Ice cold A/C , Hot heat Sony CD Player (Will throw in original Becker Grand Prix radio) 150,000 Miles Good tires Full size replacement rim with good tire in trunk. Power Windows , locks, and sunroof. Drives smooth. Gets good gas mileage The Not so good: Has typical rust . Rear fenderwells are bubbling, and has a 3 inch rust spot behind the passenger rear door. Undercarriage is fine, however. Paint is showing age. Has chips, and scratches, and a small section of clear coat is peeling on the drivers fender. Typical aging paint. 2 Rear windows do not go down. Motors run, but windows do not move. Have not investigated. Tachometer is bouncy, and inaccurate. More an annoyance than anything. All other gauges work great. Has MINOR body damage (as shown in pictures) Was backed into by a trailer at very low speed. The Undecided (It's up to you): I have converted the car to GM HEI Ignition. It is much easier to find a GM ignition module, then the failure prone Bosch ignition module that came with the car originally. I have kept all of the harnesses, so you can convert back VERY easily. I have tried to be as honest as possible about this car. I would trust it to go anywhere. I just completed a 400 mile trip with it last week. Got 31mpg on the highway. My Reserve is VERY low, just want to cover what I can get for the car if I junk it.
