This is my 1981 Ford Fairmont boxtop. I have owned this car for four years and built it in my shop. This car is the ultimate in early fox body cars. This entire car has been re-built or new. I have a large amount invested but my reserve is low so here is your chance to purchase my baby at a fraction of what it was to build it. Starting with the body, It was a rust free 74k mile car that was a 4 cyl. I had the body professionally painted 2010 Ford light Ice blue. The scoop is early ford. The Chassis was done at J&M Racecars on long island and It has a full roll cage , complete with rocker bars and halo. It is tig-welded and looks killer. It will certify to 8.40, The subframe connectors are a boxed steel that was sunken into the floor boards to make a full chassis. torque boxed were welded all around for strength. The front end is UPR tubular with a Flaming river manual rack and coil-overs. The rear is UPR pro kit with fully adjustable uppers and lowers . The rear is a 8.8 with 3.73 gears and a TA girdle. The shocks struts are lakewood. The fuel system is areomotive and magnafuel. It has a 10 gallon cell in the trunk which has been also done at the Chassis shop (trunk floor is boxed out and has a recessed floor for the cell). It has a performance automatic C-4 super comp tranny reverse manual valve body with a 10" 2500 converter and a PA performance SFI bellhousing. Shifter is a hurst quarter stick. Engine is a fresh 306 with svo rockers high lift springs/retainers gt40 valvetrain machined into truck heads, com cam, edelbrock performer RPM, holley 650, msd billet dist, bbk headers, 2/12 custom exhaust with full tailpipes, 160 amp 1 wire alternator, CSR accessories,Complete Autometer gauges, with digital tach/shiftlight combo. I could describe on and on. This is the perfect stree/strip car. Everything is like new on this build. The interior is excellent and has new rug, seats. even the factory radio still works! I have won several trophys with this car and get looks at every cruise night! The Weld wheels in the front are new along with the Moroso D series tires. Please bid only if you are serious.
