Vehicle Detail

Up for auction at no reserve is a very original, unrestored Mustang GT-350 convertible LX automatic, with the 5.0 H.O. fuel injected motor. I purchased six years ago (middle-age crisis), and rather than fair-weather babe magnet, it quickly became my daily driver/beater. Unfortunately, the roads around Indianapolis in the winter have taken their toll, as you can see from the pictures. I really have no interest in restoring her now, I have another driver, and this could be somebody's opportunity to get into a rare model Mustang - cheaply. This is a true Anniversary model, although it is a bit difficult to see the factory buck tag code "ANN" in the pictures I don't want to oversell this car - there are definite rust issues for the next owner to deal with (though the body is otherwise straight & no accidents), and while I've maintained her well enough to drive locally year-round, I certainly would not jump in and drive cross-country with this many miles. The engine and drivetrain still perform OK, no nasty noises, and no major leaks. Good brakes, and tight steering. The AC is converted to R134 (though blower doesn't work on middle speed), and the car has an aftermarket transmission cooler. The TRX tires were replaced around 100K and have maybe 50% tread left. The deluxe interior package is acceptable for its age, wearing thin in several places (though no tears), some small cracks around the speaker grilles, a few cigarette burns around the ashtray and could use a good, good cleaning. The original premium sound system was replaced long ago, but the separate amplifier switch is still there. And the special gold 20th anniversary horseshoe is still there. The top still operates fine, replaced prior to 2004, but you'll see in the pictures where there are 2 small seam separations that need resewn. Since this is not a perfect car, I highly encourage your questions; I will answer as promptly and honestly as possible. There is lots of information on this model if you are curious: http://www.gt350mustang.com/ is a good place to start. I'll also be including a full set of factory repair manuals, original purchase documents, old maintenance records, the factory build sheet, owner's manual, a dealership banner, and personalized Indiana GT-350 plate, all received from the previous owner. The factory top boot comes with the good original Ford storage bag (not shown). See pictures. On the vehicle history report: back in 2004, the seller recorded the miles incorrectly, and then attempted to correct it (to 81,594) on the title. Our BMV told me they couldn't accept the scratch-out, even though I had the car right outside and they could look for themselves. So rather than going back to the seller and getting a notarized affidavit, they offered to complete the transaction by noting "odometer is not actual". At the time, that sounded a lot better than standing in line for 3 hours again. In any case, as you can see, I've rolled up another 50K since, and there's certainly no intent to deceive anybody on the high mileage it already has. On May-05-10 at 16:04:59 PDT, seller added the following information: 4/5/10: All, I was very fortunate to have Scott Moen anvpny@sbcglobal.net of the owners association contact me with a little info he gained from some of the documentation of the car, and thought I'd post it here: Thanks so much for scanning the two items for me. I really appreciate the info on the car and the original owner. I don't get that kind of info often. It's great that you have all the info you have on the car. I'm sure it will be beneficial to the new owner(s). I did put together a packet of info for your car. I will drop it in the mail to you in a day or so. Included in it is documentation letter on the car as well as some info on the 20th Anniversary Mustang Owners Association. I also included a copy of the info sheet that the new owners can fill in their info and send it in so I can track the car. I'd appreciate it if you could show it to them and ask them to return it to me. Thanks. If you'd like to include some info on the auction, here is some ...... Build date : March 27, 1984 Production info: 1 of 670 Anniversary Convertibles built with V-8/auto combination Built on the 21st day of Anniversary Mustang production. First car built that day ... # 3363 and the last .. # 3642. Your car's "limited edition" number would fall somewhere in there. Unfortunately I cannot give you the exact number because the list showing the build order was lost at Ford a long time ago. If anyone has any questions on the car, I'd be happy to answer them for them. If you'd like to post my name and e-mail on the listing, that would be fine. Again, thanks for all your help. Take care and good luck selling the car. Please let me know if I can be of any help.
