Vehicle Detail

1927 FORD T-Bucket Roadster Convertible Up for bid is a rare 1927 T-Bucket Roadster, and it is sure to be the prize in any collector's garage. Under the hood, this baby packs an LT1 engine, originally from a 1970 Corvette, paired with a 'Vette 4-speed transmission. It is fed by a dual Holly, and has a rear end out of a 1970 Chevy Nova. The block is a 4-bolt main; it has an electric fuel pump with the fuel cel mounted in the trunk for safety. All this provides you with 382 HP, and it has solid lifters and a steel crank. Lots of chrome dressing, including headers. It rides on Mickey Thompson wheels and tires, which have 80% tread. The metal flake blue paint is in good condition, only a few cracks, an easy fix. The black leather interior is in excellent condition. It has an AM/FM cassette; all dash guages work as they should. All this cruiser needs to hit the strip is a new battery. Top highway speed is 70-75 mph. I have enjoyed this car, but need to get rid of a few toys. I am listing more specs below; car is located in Marion, IL, 2 hrs southeast of St Louis and 3 hours northwest of Nashville, TN. Call 618-967-8398 if you have any questions. I have a clear IL title-in-hand. Thanks for looking! Rod Bearings Torque = 45 lbs. Main bearings torque = 75 lbs. Headbolts torque = 60-70 lbs. Crankshaft and Balancer bolts = 60 lbs. Flywheel to crankshaft bolts = 60 lbs. Spark plug (R43) gap is 035, point gap = 019. Timing is 14 below top center; valves intake is 24, exhaust is 30, intake is 30, compression is 11/1On May-06-10 at 18:32:55 PDT, seller added the following information: Several people have asked why I stated the top speed as 75 mph; this is simply for safety sake. I am sure that the car will go faster, I just would not feel safe driving faster than 75 mph on an 83 year old convertible. Also, both doors are functional.
