Vehicle Detail
1995 E320 Mercedes sedan. Last year of one of the best Mercedes ever built. The car is in excellent shape and runs great. Paint shows well and interior is in perfect shape with the exception of the bolster on the drivers seat. Looks to have been garaged most of it's life. Looks less than 5 years old. Mileage is very low for the age of the car Tires have less than 3k miles. New wiring harness. Strong oil pressure, good cooling system with no overheating. All electrics and accessories work properly. Air conditioning blows cold. Automatic climate control works properly. No warning lights or trouble codes in the computer. There are no surprises - I've included a picture of the dash in the test position and when the car running to show that all warning lights go out once the car is running. Body is straight, all seams are even. Doors, trunk, and hood closes properly. These cars were made to run 200k+ miles and this is ready for it's next owner. This car is so safe that my insurance company gives me a discount for medical coverage. I would trust this car to drive across country tomorrow without anything other than keeping the tank full. The inline 6 on this car has great power, is very smooth, sounds great when revved while getting between 25-27 mpg on the highway depending on speed and whether the AC is on. There really is something special about how these cars go down the road. I'm very meticulous and I want no surprises for the next owner, so these are the problems that I am aware of in the car: Couple of acid rain damage spots in the roof, this is common for mid-90s Mercedes with dark paint Normal wear and tear from the road, minor chips on the front end, bumper cover scratches Minor hail damage on roof could easily be repaired by Paintless Dent Repair Less than quarter size rust bubbling near hood ornament - has not broken through the paint yet Less that small paperclip rust bubbling Cruise control surges but holds constant speed Bolster wear on the drivers side seat These cars are the last Mercedes that a competent home mechanic can maintain. For the buyer who knows these cars - harness was just replaced less than 3k ago. All vacuum pods in the dash work properly. AC is strong. Head gasket is original and good so far. Original owner seemed to use M-B antifreeze. I am selling becuase as much as it pains me - I need to break my addiction from the w124 series. I have two of these cars and I never drive this one since it is in such good shape that I always end up taking my beater car (another 95 e320 in much worse cosmetic shape.) Maybe at some point I won't be able to resist and will look for an e500 - but for now I need more room in the garage.
