this is a 1969 Camaro convertible . A real GM camaro convertible. We were building a custom 69 camaro convertible for a customer using this body when we discovered more rust than we thought the customer would want to deal with. We heard of the new 1969 Camaro Convertible bodies being manufactured and we and the customer decided this was the best choice. BIG MISTAKE. I wont name the company , but the body was so badly made we wished afterwards we would have used this REAL GM body and just replace the pans needed and other rust issues with replacement panels. We have learned a very big lesson and will never use an aftermarket body ever again. The customer requested us to use the vin and trim tag on the new body , which we did and he told us this was approved in his state. Again this is a restorable convertible needing the required replacement panels. But when you are done you will have a REAL GM 69 Camaro convertible You will have to inquire with your local law enforcement agency for a new vin, much like building a kit car or street rod.
