Here is a 1939 Ford Truck that at one time was a Coca Cola delivery truck in Sterling Colorado, I rescued this truck from the crusher and put it on a friends ranch where it has sat the last 15 years waiting for me to fix her up, but I had good intensions but I lack the time, as I am getting older I have found I have too many projects and not enough years left to complete them all so I have moving them on to someone who has the time. And most importantly I am not going to sit on this old steel and let it rust into the ground, so here she goes. This truck was last plated in 1959 and that is a long time to sit! When I bought it all the glass was in good shape I guess someone wanted to practice rock throwing as all the glass needs to be replaced. The rear fenders are missing the front fenders and running boards are pretty beat up as you can see. The cab and doors are in great shape with only a few dings, think about it this truck has 71 years on it! The hood looks good as you can see. The grill needs some work, my buddy has had a number of people offer to buy just the grill. The side panels are gone and I liked it that way the hood still latches and you can see the engine to show off some chrome or a fancy flatty. The bed sides are straight as you can see except for a few rust spots where the bed floor and sides held dirt, still an easy fix. The cab floor is still the original plywood and needs replacing as does the rest of the upholstery. The plywood seat bottom needs replacing, the seat adjusts by lifting and moving the plywood forward or backward and putting the plywood holes on a peg sticking up off the fuel tank. The engine still has oil in it and the tranny still shifts but it is not running in any way. The front axle is broke and I am not sure of the condition of the rear end. I was going to drop the body on a S10 frame and drive it, the truck could be restored or rat rodded the choice is yours, the cab and doors are solid and fenders are available through a number of places. I did not receive a title when I bought the truck and so there is no title, I will give a bill of sale. This is a Colorado truck and never saw salted roads. It is now in Illinois.
