If you have 0 feedback, you will need to call 618-382-4635 before your bid will be accepted. This is a 1992 Chevrolet Caprice 4 door sedan. It was bought new by the City of Carmi Illinois and placed in service as a police squad car in 1992. After approximately 6 years it was transferred to the Carmi Municiple Airport for use as a courtesy car and remained there since. It was decided to remove it from service and sell it as excess City equipment. Since I am employed by the City as the Chief of Police, I offered to use my personal ebay account to advertise this car for sale. The car has a weak battery, but when jumped, it starts and runs. Throughout its service with the City of Carmi this car has been maintained by the City mechanic. The paint is somewhat faded, and the interior shows signs of age. It does NOT have the larger 5.7 liter (350)V8 that was available that year, rather it has the 5.0 liter (305) V8. As this is being sold as excess city equipment, it is sold AS IS. Anyone is welcome to inspect it at any time at the City of Carmi Illinois Police Department located at 108 N. Main Cross Street in Carmi Illinois between the hours of 8:00AM and 4:00PM, or at other times if an appointment is arranged.
