Vehicle Detail

For sale is a beautiful 1962 Chevrolet Nova Convertible.  This is the first year of the Nova and only one of two years the convertible was made.  Most of these cars have been destroyed, so this is a very rare car.  The car has been restored into a very mild resto-rod.  A small block 283, 700-4 automatic transmission, GM disc brakes, very effective sway bars, forged wheels on 60 series tires have been added.  The car has been kept as close to the original as possible.  The engine and transmission have recently been rebuilt with less than 2,000 miles.  The car shows about 43,000 miles on the speedometer but I can’t verify the accuracy.  The interior has been redone with new glass, door panels, instrument panel, window felts, convertible boot cover, new chrome convertible latches, etc.  The car has some very unusual options such as a mercury vapor light switch in the trunk, glove box light, i-pod integration, vintage looking AM/FM cassette radio, etc.  The exterior includes new bumpers, trim pieces, weather stripping, etc.  The engine bay and trunk have been restored to a close to original as possible.  New wheels, new tires, front end rebuild, and new electrical wiring add to the reliability and pleasure of driving this car.  The paint is beautiful and underneath the car is equally nice.  The engine is very reliable, very tight and runs like a champ.  The transmission shifts firm and very direct.  The convertible top is in very good condition with the only flaw is a small cut in the rear plastic window.  Unfortunately someone decided it was fun to take a pocket knife and cut a small slit.  Fortunately the cut is very small and I have placed clear tape over the cut and it is almost invisible.  Overall, the car is very pleasing to look at and gets attention where ever I go.  The car is now almost 50 years old and gaining in value every year.  This car is much rarer than what is usually displayed at car shows, Camaros, Impalas, Mustangs, Chevelles, etc.  If you are looking for a nice investment in an American classic, give this car serious consideration.
