Vehicle Detail

This is a fun, fantastic Super Beetle convertible for someone that wants an all original Bug to restore. This is a 'Super Beetle' and the engine runs strong. This is also a NO Reserve auction. The interior seats are really, really great shape for being what I think is original. See the pictures for a good idea of the overall condition of the car. Not a show car by any means but what you see IS what you get. No hiding things with a paint job that covers a lot of problems. I am pretty sure that this is all the original stuff, paint, top, interior, engine, transmission. The car is priced well so don't miss out. Not sure of the exact history of this one but the condition of the body is very good. The pictures show the road dings and California rust spots all over the place and show the biggest two problems of the car. The top has a big rip at the back that allowed water to sit inside, for I think a long time, and rusted the area behind the back seat. There is a replacement panel JUST for this problem, not that uncommon over time. The other spot of rust is related to the top as well, where the water ran down from the leak to the panel behind the driver's door (see pix). That is the only spot I know of on the car. Other than those things this car is ready to be re-done. The original wheel goes with the car, just have a different one there now because of a flat tire. It does have the original tire, wheel rings and hubcap. For sure, the interior carpet, top, paint and tires will all have to be done. The electrical, I believe, is all in good shape. This car obviously sat in California for a very long time, not somewhere that made the whole car rot out. This is a fun car to drive, even without restoring it. Gets a smile and a turning head everywhere you go. California classic Bug for sure. I bought this car with the intention of doing the restoration myself, as I did with my old Ghia that I finished to showroom condition. Not doing that again with this one, unfortunately. Hope to find a good, happy home for this one. Someone that has a desire to have a solid car to start with. Please note... NO Zero History buyers will be allowed. This car is being re-listed because of someone bidding that had no intention of purchasing it. TWICE!! That won't happen again. Thank you and Happy Bidding.
