For sale is my weekend vehicle that I occassionally use as my daily driver. I am the third owner. The second owner was a Red Cross type organization and the original owner was the Federal West German Police, which explains the gun racks on the interior door panels and above the rear bench seat, as well as the flag stand and screws along the windows on the exterior for the riot gear. Guages work perfectly. Tape player kicks the cassettes back out but the radio works. Also, the tan/beige interior is typical government color and the black thick vinyl seats which are still hard and supportive instead of the funky plaid material on the civilian versions. Imported to the U.S. in 2005. Original except for the civial aluminum wheels. All guages work. This truck would be for the "purist" as it is without power windows and air conditioning. Drives and starts great and drives straight, totally dependable. Prior government ownership assures that it was well maintained throughout its life. Miles may be original as the pedals have little wear on them compared to others I have noticed. No pulling to the side while driving but there is a tire wiggle between 80 and 90 km/h then goes away. NO MODIFICATIONS were made nor need to be made due to the age which is why I way overpaid for this in 2005. 1979 is the first production year for this and I got it right when it was 25 years old so it needed NO modifications for DOT. CA pink slip clear and onlky needs to be signed over. Clutch/brakes are good. Mechanic told me to bring it in for another look in 10,000 miles. I do not know much about the 4WD.
