Hello Happy bidders. I am selling my 1984 Chevy Silverado because I really have no need for it (too many vehicles). It has dual gas tanks, 305 V8 all original engine ,diamond plate tool box and heavy load suspension springs on the rear end. It is long wheel based with tow assembly and push front bumpers. This is a LWB( long wheeled based) truck. It haved served me well as an everyday driver when I was stationed in Jacksonville a few years back and never gave me any major problems. I have since retired from the military and this pick up has been sitting up for nearly a year. Known mechanical problems are as follows: Has a exhaust leak(original exhaust system over 26 years old). Need new windshield wiper holders but they do work, Needs a new battery, rear view mirror need to be remounted, slow transmission leak...might need a new seal, power steering fluid hoses need replacing(leaks excessively), leaking freeze plug thats easy accessable(not leaking excessively), truck is in alignment but the steering wheel is a little off center. The A/C does work but this truck has been sitting in my back yard for a while and it might need recharging. There is minimum rust near door handle and lower drivers side door but nothing major .Power windows roll down very slow and might need new motors(sometimes the driver side will stick), power door locks are fine. The bench seat has normal wear but does has a seat cover over it. I am the third owner and this pick up use to belong to the BP gas station in nearby Thomasville Ga to haul 55 gallon drums.It was painted green but after I purchased it, I repainted it blue which was its natural color. The truck will run but its not ready for long distant driving... It does need some work to make it a dependable road ready work truck. Winning bidder will have to transport. I just washed and clean the truck up and noticed that it had some rust build up on the lower door panels and door sill plates for both doors. I drove the truck about 25 miles just to see if it still got it what it takes...and it does!
