1955 Chevy Short Box Pickup Rare Great Driver offered at No Reserve! Click on the Slideshow above to see all the pictures of this car You are bidding on a 1955 Chevy Short box. This is an example of a very rare old school, fun driving truck that gets attention wherever it goes. The first series trucks were built from October 1954 until March 1955, when the new body style was finally ready and began production. 1955 trucks built after March were built with the open driveshaft that is in use even today, but they look like 1956 trucks. BELOW I HAVE BROKEN DOWN EACH AREA/SECTION OF THE CHEVY AND WILL DO MY BEST TO DESCRIBE ITS CURRENT CONDITION BECAUSE THE PICTURES JUST DON’T DO THIS VEHICLE JUSTICE. INTERIOR: THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE IS A 8/10.... THE INTERIOR ON THIS CHEVY IS IN GOOD CONDITION, EVERYTHING IS “REFURBISHED” ORIGINAL AND CAN BE FOUND IN THE APPROPRAITE PLACES. SEAT HAS BEEN REUPOLSTERED AND CARPET IS FAIRLY NEW. ALL GUAGES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE SPEEDOMETER WORK AS THEY SHOULD AND A COUPLE OF TASTEFUL MODIFICATIONS HAVE BEEN DONE TO THE STEERING COLUM (MOST UNNOTICABLE BUT CREATE A USER FRIENDLY FUNCTIONALITY THAT THE ORIGINAL INSTUMENTS DIDN’T HAVE). A TILT STERRING STERRING WHEEL HAS BEEN ADDED FOR BETTER FUNCTIONALITY AND COMFORTABILITY. CAR WAS RECENTLY PAITNED BOTH ON THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR A PEARL WHITE. HEADLINER IS INTACT AND LOOKS GOOD. GLASS IS GOOD WITH THE EXCEPTION OF BOTH SMALL WINDOWS ON THE DRIVERS AND PASSEGERS SIDE (CRACKED) THIS IS AN EASY AND INEXPENSIVE FIX BUT MUST BE NOTED. DOOR PANELS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE AND THERE ARE NO CRACKS IN THE DASH. WINDSHIELD, WINDOWS AND REAR GLASS IS ALL IN GREAT SHAPE. PLEASE SEE PICTURES FOR CLARIFICATION TO THE DESCRIPTION AND PLEASE CALL ME WITH QUESTIONS. EXTERIOR: THE EXTERIOR OF THE CAR IS A 7.5/10. THE PAINT ON THE TRUCK WAS COMPLETED A FEW YEARS BACK AND AS DESCRIBED ABOVE AND THE BODY IS VERY STRAIGHT (SEE PIC). THIS RESTORATION WAS COMPELTED BY A LOCAL BODY SHOP HERE IN DENVER AND LOOKS GREAT WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A FEW PAINT CHIPS, CRACKS AND DRIPS (SEE PICS), BOTH DOORS FIT PROPERLY,ALL GLASS IS FUNCTIONAL, 3 OF THE 4 TIRES ARE GOOD, LIGHTS WORK AS THEY SHOULD. A BRAND NEW EXHAUST SYSTEM WAS RECENTLY INSTALLED ON THE TRUCK WITH SIDEPIPES AND IT SOUNDS AMAZING (SEE VIDEO). THERE IS VERY MINOR WORK THAT STILL NEEDS TO BE DONE I.E. NEW WOOD IN TRUCK BED, PAINT WORK, MINOR MECHANICAL WORK TO GET THE SPEEDOMETOR WORKING AGAIN. THESE TRUCKS ARE SELLING FOR OVER $40,000 AT BARRETT, RM AND MECCUM.
