1996 FORD EXPLORER XLT SPORT TRAC 4 X 4 Up for SALE is a 1996 Ford Explorer XLT Sport Trac 4 X 4 SUV with 182,200 Miles. This truck has alot of riding left in it. There are a few things that need to be done to this vehicle prior to getting a new inspection sticker and they are as follows: 1.- There is a small rust spots on the rear quarters which I'm being told WILL NEED TO BE CORRECTED prior to renewing the Inspection Sticker. 2.- It is going to need at least 2 tires. 3.- The "check engine" light came on two weeks ago and upon bringing it to our mechanic and placed on the diagnostic machine was told it needs an "oxygen sensor", which they claim was around $80.00 to fix. There are other things I need to inform whoever decides to purchase this that I was told by the same mechanic: It appears the timing chain cover "gasket" will need to be replaced due to antifreeze is "dripping" (ever so slightly but still dripping) out from around where the cover is and also, we have had to ignore the ABS light on the dash remains on but have been ASSURED that there is nothing wrong with the brakes and it must be a "sensor" that is bad. We would take out the fuse upon inspection and replace it later. We are the 2nd owners for this vehicle and it has been in the family since new. We have replaced alot of various parts over the years and have all the maintance records that the new owner is welcomed to. Car is driven DAILY!
