Vehicle Detail

1987 Ford Mustang “GT Notch” One of a Kind Recently completed restoration ‘95 Cobra Powered The Beginning Up for auction is my 1987 Ford Mustang Notchback. We all know what draw these cars have. I have been in your shoes looking for these cars over the years and have come up with many, buy most have been beat on the strip or just plain mistreated. We’ll while looking for one, one fell in my lap a couple years ago. This one. I actually found this one completed, pretty much the way you see it. I have recently purchased a Model A which requires my time now as well as my funds. That has jumpstarted my want, or need to put my notch up for sale. First, this is a little history about me. I own a small, clean dealership in Western Michigan and have always enjoyed primarily Mustangs and other classic and special interest cars. Through this interest, I have purchased several vehicles via eBay and sold several also. All the while, maintaining a 100% customer satisfaction rating, or feedback if you will. Rest assured, my listing here will tell it like it is. If you have additional questions, just ask and I will answer honestly. My intention has always been and still is full disclosure and to retain 100% satisfaction. The history of the Car What I was told of the car was it started it’s life as a State Trooper Chase car, 5.0 liter. It later was purchased and partially restored and driven. The gentleman I purchased the car from in South Carolina, did the restoration you see before you. These are figures I was given per the restoration: 1. His original purchase price: $5200.00 2. Custom Chrome Yellow Metallic Paint And body work. $4631.00 3. Mach 1 Hood from Cervini’s $1025.00 4. GT Body Kit from Cervini’s $ 830.00 5. 1995 Built Mustang Cobra Engine $3500.00 6. Nice original Used Black complete Interior $1800.00 7. New Cobra Guage Cluster $ 250.00 8. New 18” Cobra R Wheels/Tires $1250.00 Total Estimates cost less Many misc. items $ 18,486.00 Granted, I didn’t pay $18486.00 for this car and wasn’t asking you too either. Just giving you the information I was given. Basically, there is no way anyone could build this car for what is will sell here for. It’s definitely a one of a kind, “GT Notch”. Never built, but should have been. So, I have owned the car now for about two years. I’ll just say is sounds great. It does already have the Flowmaster exhaust that gives the car a raspy, deep throated Mustang sound. “Mean” I think is the term that gets used most. The car has a lot of HP, just don’t know how much exactly. I know the engine has some goodies in it. It’s got a slight lope to it at idle and upon letting off the accelerator, there is an absence of vacuum, which causes a shift lag until you give here a little gas. Under normal driving conditions this doesn’t happen, but many of my clients have told me this is completely normal…annoying… but normal for a strong motor like this. I have been told to add a vacuum reservoir, under $100.00 to the vacuum systems and it should eliminate this. This is really the only driving issue to mention. Aside from this, the body has always been rust free. Interior was changed from the original along with the gauge cluster. Since engine and transmission were changed, the cars has less than 5000 miles on them. Not sure of actual mileage as I don’t have the original gauge cluster. Here are the details. The car was completely stripped naked to begin the restoration, interior and all. This was a top “notch” restoration. (Ok, there was a pun intended there.) The GT ground effects package and Mach 1 hood were added and the car was painted Chrome Yellow Metallic after which the Black accent stripes where custom painted. Black Mustang Interior was added, wiring was done and engine/transmission were installed. The flowmasters were mounted, Cobra R’s wrapped with New 245 40R18 BFGoodrich TA’s and bolted on and she was done and ready to roll. Notice everything is painted, even underhood, trunk, jams and done with quality in mind. Definitely the year it took to build the car shows in the finished product. In conclusion In putting this car up for auction I can tell you the body doesn’t have any dings, dents, scratches ect… The interior is in above average condition and most of the mechanicals are new or rebuilt to be like new. The car drives and stops just like it should…great. This being said, the car isn’t perfect. Even though the gauge cluster was changed, with the bigger tires and maybe a gear change, the speedo is off by quite a bit. The interior by some peoples standards shows a little wear, but looks almost new to most, including myself. All, this said, my reserve is less that half the build price and that in and of itself should be exciting to any Mustang nut like myself. Disclosures Yeah, I know nobody likes them but here they are. I know I have really built this Notch up, and it deserves it. But, please remember this is still an older vehicle, and still does have some imperfections I may have neglected to list here as well as many of the good points. This Mustang is still a 33 year old car and therefore is being sold as-is, where-is with no warranty. Buyer is responsible for the pickup or shipping of this vehicle although I will help in any way I can in the arrangements with you. I have made every effort to disclose every good and bad point of this 1987 Ford Mustang “GT Notch”, but I am sure I may have missed some of both. My descriptions always tend to be lengthy so I do try to be thorough. This listings take a lot of time and effort to put together and can be expensive. So, please ask any and all questions of the car before auction end. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the car is for sale now and my goal obviously, is to sell the car at least by the end of the auction. This is a very LOW RESERVE auction! Please keep in mind being the last bidder does not offer the right of negotiation. Your bid is a legally binding contract to buy this car for final auction price. I would appreciate if you are going to bid that you have all of your financial arraignments made prior to the end of auction as I do require a $1000.00 non-refundable deposit via Paypal, with in 24 hours following auction, contact immediately following auction to make arrangements for pickup and final payment be received by me within 7 days following auction end. If you have any questions, (and you are a serious bidder/buyer), please feel free to call Kurt @ 1-231-578-2887. If all your questions have been answered to your satisfaction, please bid now. Thank you very much for you interest. I honestly don’t know how you could be disappointed based on my latest feedback I have received. The description is accurate. Thanks, Kurt
