Selling Grandpa's Old Truck.......1959 Chevy Apache -- Flat Bed Grandpa's old truck was passed down to my nephew who wants to buy a vehicle which is more suited to his transportation needs for college. This old truck still runs like a charm. It has the 235 straight six and is a 4 speed-two wheel drive. The engine was rebuilt in 1998 and the odometer reads 52,180. We think it was reset when the overhaul was done. It is possible that this could be the original miles. Grandpa is gone now, and nobody seems to know. The master cylinder was just replaced on the brakes and it has new hoses. The heater was leaking fluid, so a new heater core was put in. The frame and the body are in good condition, especially considering it's age. The pick-up was based in the dry desert climate of Wyoming, so the rusting has been held in bay to a great degree. The bed is also in excellent shape and is newer, although nobody knows exactly when it was put on either. There is no damage other than the regular wear and tear. The exterior looks pretty good. See photos. The interior is a little rough. The original seats were replaced with captain seats and there is considerable wear to the cloth on these seats. This truck would make an excellent project for someone into restoration or just a good old truck to have even if you do not have time to restore it. Thanks for looking. Serious Bidders only!
